Murrey John, Chapman (d. h. Kaufmann) in Braddan, Douglas, Isle of Man, E vor 1641. Die tieferstehend abgebildete Urkunde berichtet, dass er am 24. 11. 1641 für £ 40 einen Besitz in D(o)uglas von Robert und Margaret Banks kauft. Am 16. 11. 1660 beteiligt er sich zu 50% an den Rechten zum Lachsfang in der Bay of Duglas, die sein Schwager Richard Joyner kurz zuvor für 21 Jahre um 40 Shilling vom Landesherrn, dem Earl of Derby, gepachtet hat.

Der Text ab Zeile 16 lautet: Now this indenture further witnesseth that the forenamed Robert Banckes and Margrett his wife for valuable considerations them movinge but more espetially for and in consideration of the somme of fortie pounds of currant mony of England to them in hand paid ..... doe give, grant, alienate, bargain and sell unto the said John Murry his heyres and assignes ....... all and every those the forespetified (specified)
houses and premises, viz: the house called the three legged chamber, the greate house, back-chamber with the celler under it, and the tables and formes (benches) in either of the chambers as aforesaid, with the gardens, backsides and easements (rights of way) to the same belonginge .......
